What are Dermal Fillers?
As we age, the fat, muscles, bone, and skin in our faces gradually loses some natural volume, which can result in a sinking or sagging appearance, fine lines, wrinkles, folds and thin lips.
Dermal fillers (Hyaluronic Acid) can be injected under the skin or deeper to instantly lift and smooth sagging, folds and lines, or to enhance or reshape specific areas such as the nose, backs of hands, cheeks and lips.
Key Areas for Treatment:
-
Nasolabial Folds - the line running from the nose down to the mouth
-
Tear Troughs - hollowing under the eye at the top of the cheek
-
Marionette Lines - the straight fold that can develop from the corners of the mouth down either side of the chin
-
Prejowl Sulcus Area - the soft indentation that develops beside the chin before noticeable jowls occur
-
'Smokers Lines' - common name for the fine lines around the mouth
-
Jawline Definition
-
Cheek Shaping
-
Chin Definition
-
LIPS - Lips Volume Natural, Lip Volume Full, Vermillion Border, Russian Lips.
How do Dermal Fillers work?
Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout the body, including in your skin. Dermal filler injections - often just referred to as fillers - involve injecting small amounts of hyaluronic acid directly under the skin and deeper, where it attracts and retains water, producing a volumising effect. Dermal Filler injections vary in application and viscosity - ranging from thinner solutions designed for general smoothing and hydration, to deeper, firmer treatments which mimic bone structure. The effects of hyaluronic acid anti-aging injections are seen immediately and last 6 - 18 months.
Downtime
Although you may experience some localised swelling and bruising after treatment, there is no need to delay many of your ordinary activities after having fillers.
Activities causing a rush of blood to the face, such as exercising or using saunas, should be avoided immediately after treatment. We recommend you do not fly for 14 days after treatment.
Your practitioner will be able to advise you further at your appointment.
Costs
Costs for Dermal Filler Treatments vary widely depending on where you choose to treat and the degree of treatment required.
Depending on your age and the area, a very small amount of filler may be sufficient - whereas other areas require more product.
Each treatment varies in price. Book in a free consultation to discuss.
Appointment Time
Dermal Filler appointment length depends on where the treatment is being administered.
Your practitioner will carefully discuss the look you want to achieve before any treatments are suggested or administered. Typically, a dermal filler appointment will last around 30 minutes.
Refresh Time
Because hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by a naturally occurring enzyme in your body, the time the effects take to wear off vary depending on the individual.
Your fillers will be most noticeable for between 6 - 18 months, after which you'll want to book a refresh.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are Fillers temporary? All the fillers we use in our clinic are temporary and made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. In time, your body gradually breaks down the connections between the molecules in the filler, at which point, it loses its plumping and smoothing effect, so you might start thinking about booking a refresh appointment. Typically, your treatment will last 6 - 12 months, although some patients report theirs have lasted up to 18 months in certain areas.
At what age are fillers most effective? There is no “right age” to start injectable treatments. Dermal fillers are used for many different reasons; to increase volume in certain areas of the face for beautification and also to restore volume lost to the aging process. As we head into our 30s, our collagen and elastin production decreases, so this sometimes acts as a prompt to restore some of the natural plumpness that is starting to be lost. The hyaluronic acid in dermal fillers also improves the overall condition of the skin, so fillers in our 30s, 40s and 50s can help combat volume loss, reduced elasticity and deeper lines and wrinkles.
What are cheek fillers used for? Cheek fillers are a great option for patients wishing to tackle facial volume lost through the natural aging process and to relieve heaviness in the lower face by sculpting and enhancing the area of the cheekbones, creating the appearance of a strong and elegant bone structure. They're also suitable for patients who feel their natural cheekbones are unbalanced or could do with a little enhancement.
How is a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (Nose Filler Treatment) Performed? Depending on the look you're hoping to achieve, filler injections may be used to eradicate lumps and bumps, straighten and slim the appearance of the nose. The procedure involves none of the risks, downtime, side effects or cost implications of a surgical rhinoplasty but achieves remarkably similar results - all in a treatment lasting ten minutes or less. As there is typically not much movement in this area of the face, the results are long lasting, being noticeable for up to 18 months.
Can Lip Fillers Look Natural? Our medical practitioners are experts in delivering a natural and subtle look when it comes to plumping and hydrating thinner lips, and lifting and smoothing the area around the mouth - less is more when it comes to creating a refreshed and natural looking result.
What Does Jawline Sculpting Involve? One area of the face where sagging and heaviness first becomes noticeable is around the jaw line and jowls. Dermal filler injections placed along the jaw line, sometimes in combination with chin enhancement, produces a more structured look around the whole of the lower face, adding definition and the appearance of stronger bone structure for an elegantly contoured profile.
Can I Have Dermal Fillers in my Hands? Dermal filler injections are a popular choice for patients who are concerned about signs of aging on the backs of their hands, in fact there are a range of treatments that may be appropriate or complementary. Our hands are hardworking and can be one of the first noticeable signs of aging - showing signs of lax skin, prominent veins and loss of volume. Fillers, Profhilo and technology treatments can be used to gently plump and smooth the backs of the hands, resulting in a softer and smoother appearance.
Are Profhilo and Fillers Different Things? Profhilo doesn’t add volume or change the structure or shape of the face. Both are made from hyaluronic acid but Profhilo acts as an ‘injectable moisturiser’ and hydrator, rather than a volumizing filler. Both are rejuvenating anti-aging treatments but are injected and act in different ways. Profhilo is injected superficially in small micro injections across the face, neck or hands and improves overall skin quality and restores plumpness in the skin, which is lost in the aging process. Dermal fillers are also a hyaluronic acid gel substance – generally more viscous in structure and can be used to contour, volumise, lift and enhance facial features.
Will Anyone Notice I've Had Fillers? In general, it's unlikely! Most of our patients report that friends and colleagues mention that they look 'fresher', 'brighter' or like they've had a great night's sleep. Our overriding ethos is to create meaningful yet natural looking results - helping you to still look like yourself, but the very best version of you.
What are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-Wrinkle Injections are made of a naturally occurring toxin that has been safely used in small doses for cosmetic treatments for decades, to relax facial muscles.
It's commonly used for minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyebrows and beside the eyes, as well as lifting the corners of the mouth. The effects are observed after 3 - 5 days and last up to six months.
It has also been used in the treatment of 'gummy smile', as well as treating excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and teeth grinding (Bruxism).
How Does It Work?
Anti-wrinkle injections contain Botulinum toxin, a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This sounds a bit alarming but it's extremely safe when administered by a medical practitioner in small doses for cosmetic purposes. It is administered in small amounts into facial muscles through a tiny needle, causing the muscles to relax and therefore reducing the folds that naturally appear in our skin when our face moves. It has also be used as an excessive sweating treatment for the palms, feet and the underarms, as well as treating certain tension conditions such a TMJ and tooth grinding.
Key Areas for Treatment:
-
Non-surgical Brow Lift
-
Smoothing Forehead or Frown Wrinkles
-
'Crows Feet' Treatment - relaxing fine wrinkles next to the eyes
-
Chin Dimpling Treatment
-
Lifting Corners of the Mouth
Other Applications:
-
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) in the palms, feet and underarms
-
'Gummy Smile' Treatment
-
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders treatment
-
Bruxism (teeth grinding) treatment
-
Jaw Slimming Treatment
-
Migraine Treatment
Downtime
There is generally no down time after Anti-wrinkle Injections; you can carry on with your normal day.
Just make sure you follow aftercare instructions given to you by your practitioner.
Costs
Treatments are fully personalised to you and what you're looking to achieve from your treatment, so the number of areas treated varies from person to person.
Each treatment varies in price. Book in a free consultation to discuss.
Appointment Time
Injectable appointments are generally very quick; treatments targeting wrinkles only shouldn't last more than 15 minutes.
Filler treatments will last around 30 minutes depending on the desired treatment area.
Bruxism/Hyperhidrosis treatment may vary slightly depending on your individual needs.
Refresh Time
The length of time between appointments varies by treatment, area and individual. If your treatment involves toxin injections, you may look to get a retreatment around the three to four month mark. Depending on your individual facial muscles, however, the effects of your treatment may be noticeable for far longer than that. Dermal filler injections and Profhilo treatments last longer - between 12 and 18 months.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do Anti-Aging Injection Treatments Hurt? Like all injections, you may feel a tiny pinch when the needle enters the skin. Due to our medical practitioner's skill and training, discomfort is minimal and over very quickly. If you are booked in for a treatment that involves injections and you're nervous about needles or the pain of injections, please let your practitioner know when you're booking a treatment - there are solutions we can offer to make you as comfortable as possible.
How Often Do People Have Anti-Aging Injectable Treatments? The length of time between appointments varies by treatment, area and individual. If your treatment involves toxin injections, you may look to get a retreatment around three to four months. Depending on your individual facial muscles, however, the effects of your treatment may be noticeable for far longer than that. Dermal filler injections and Profhilo treatments last longer - between 12 and 18 months.
What are the Risks of Anti-Wrinkle Treatments? There is a small risk of headache and flu-like symptoms for the first 24 hours following your treatment. Rarely, there may also be some bruising, swelling and redness at the site of your injections.
Why Do Anti-Wrinkle Injections Take Time to Work? Toxin treatments immobilise the muscles into which they're injected by stopping the release of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. After a treatment, it takes a short period of time for the body to “use up” the acetylcholine that's already in the system, meaning the effects begin to be noticeable within 3 - 5 days.
What is a Gummy Smile? 'Gummy Smile' is the term used when a patient feels their upper gum shows more than they would like when they smile. It's also know as Excessive Gingival Display and it affects roughly 10% of people. As long as there is no underlying dental issue that requires treatment, a gummy smile may treated using injections. 'Freezing' the muscle that elevates the top lip when we smile and inhibiting its movement means your smile won't move as high up and excessively show your gums. You can book a consultation with one of our expert clinicians to discuss what treatment might be right for you and your smile.
What is Hyperhidrosis? Hyperhidrosis is also known as excessive sweating. It refers to sweating that is noticeably greater than normal, or that isn't triggered by heat or exercise. It often doesn't have an obvious cause but can make people self-conscious and uncomfortable. It can affect a specific area of your body, such as the underarms, or the whole body. Injections can be beneficial in managing the symptoms of hyperhidrosis as they can temporarily block the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. You should always speak to your GP first if you're concerned about how much you sweat, as it can sometimes be caused by a medical condition that requires attention. You can book a consultation with one of our expert clinicians to discuss what treatment might be right for you.
ANTI WRINKLE TREATMENT
Before/After
PLATLET RICH PLASMA TREATMENT (PRP)
What is Platelet Rich Plasma?
The moment you cut your skin, all you see is blood – those are red blood cells. After the bleeding stops, you’ll see a yellow bit “gluing” your skin together and that is our wonderful plasma.
During the infamous Vampire Treatment, Platelet Rich Plasma containing: platelets, minerals, vitamins and growth factors is used for the healing response to the damaged tissue which occurred either through the ageing process or any recent mechanical injuries / scars.
Platelet Rich Plasma injections improve your skin texture, colour, increases fibrin and collagen growth. The skin looks fresher, youthful and glowing.
After injection, plasma will be absorbed within 3 days. During this time you should not expose your skin to any strong chemicals. Over the next 3 to 6 weeks stem cells will work in your skin continuing visible repair and healing.
The process ensures visible results from one to one and a half years depending on your lifestyle. Repeated procedures will lay additional processes of growing collagen, fibrin and elastin on top of the first process. That ensures even better results.
PLATLET RICH PLASMA TREATMENT (PRP)
The Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Procedure
During a PRP treatment session, 10-20 ml of blood is typically required to rejuvenate the entire face. For under-eye treatment, only 10 ml is necessary. In addition to facial rejuvenation, PRP can also be applied to the neck, decolletage, and hands to promote skin rejuvenation. The dosage can be divided for specific treatment areas as follows:
-
Under Eyes: 10 ml
-
Face 20 ml
-
Neck 10-20 ml
-
Decolletage: 10-20 ml
-
Hands: 20 ml
Avoid the treatment if you have :
-
Skin Disorders – eg. SLE, Porphyria
-
Cancer
-
Chemotherapy
-
Any severe metabolic or systemic disorders
-
Haemathological disorder, especially abnormal platelet counts or function
-
Anti-coagulation therapy
-
Any drugs or therapy resulting in immune suppression
-
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Steroid therapy
-
Ongoing infection
What To Expect After Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment
-
Immediately after treatment with platelet rich plasma (PRP), the treated area might get slightly swollen and red; this typically fades in a 30 min.
-
Bruising is possible, however if advice on vitamin regimen is taken as recommended the risks are minimal. In case any bruising occur Arnica cream can be helpful.
-
Treatment with Amanda is relatively painless due to her skills and if needed can be treated with ice compress.

What is Profhilo?
As we age, the fat, muscles, bone and skin in our faces gradually loses some natural volume, which can result in a sinking or sagging appearance, fine lines, wrinkles and folds. When we apply hyaluronic acid to our skin, the molecule in the solution is actually too large to pass further than the epidermis.
A unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, Profhilo stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to counteract skin laxity and deliver a deep hydrating effect from under the skin.
How Does Profhilo Work?
Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout the body, including in your skin. Profhilo is injected superficially in small micro injections across the face, neck or hands and improves overall skin quality and restores plumpness in the skin, which is lost in the aging process. Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains water, producing a volumising effect.
You will likely notice some improvement immediately after the first treatment but the full results are visible around 4 weeks after your second treatment. After around two months, your skin will also look more hydrated, radiant and youthful.
Key Areas for Treatment:
Profhilo enhances skin texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can also improve firmness and elasticity and promote refreshed and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas but can also be used to rejuvenate:
-
Neck
-
Arms
-
Backs of Hands
Downtime
Most people can resume normal activities in 24 hours, although you will likely notice some small bumps and localised redness at the injection sites for 24 - 48 hours after treatment. Very rarely, mild bruising can occur and may take a few days to appear.
Costs
Costs depend on the treatment recommended by your practitioner and the area that you're looking to treat but a single treatment will typically cost starting at £200 per session. Full costs will be discussed with you before any treatment at your appointment.
Appointment Time
A full Profhilo treatment should only take around 30 minutes.
At your appointment, your practitioner may apply some skin numbing cream, and will mark out the target areas for injection, then administer your injections into specific sites for the most widespread and effective treatment.
Refresh Time
Profhilo lasts around 6 months when two treatments are given a month apart.
After you've had these initial treatments, we then recommend having a refresh appointment every 6 - 12 months, for optimum results.

What is Lemon Bottle Treatment?
Lemon Bottle is the new advanced non-invasive revolution in fat dissolution,
a groundbreaking solution designed to tackle stubborn fat deposits. This innovative
treatment involves swift and virtually painless injections of a unique formula directly
into targeted areas of the body.
What is Lemon Bottle Fat Dissolving treatment?
Lemon Bottle is a revolutionary new fat dissolving solution which involves quick and
painless injections of its innovative formula at targeted areas of fat on the body which
won’t budge despite dietary changes and exercise. Safe and non-invasive,
Lemon Bottle is loved for its remarkable and rapid results with no down-time required.
Lemon Bottle works best on smaller, more targeted treatment areas, including:
-
Face (double chin, jowls)
-
Arms (‘bingo wings’
-
Abdomen (stubborn belly fat, love handles)
-
Back fat (also known as ‘bra bulge’
-
Thighs (inner and outer thighs, buttocks)
How does Lemon Bottle work?
Lemon Bottle is a type of lipolysis treatment. ‘Lipolysis’ means the breakdown of fats by a process called hydrolysis, a term which covers the release of fatty acids. This is why you’ll often find the terminology ‘melting’ or ‘dissolving’ used to describe these types of treatments – as they physically destroy fat cells from the inside out through triggering natural chemical processes which occur organically within the body.
It’s important to note that lipolysis treatments like Lemon Bottle aren’t weight loss solutions – they are fat removal solutions. They’re best suited to people who are maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regime and are close to their ideal weight, but are struggling with stubborn, hard-to-lose pockets of fat in certain areas.
Lemon Bottle’s solution is popular because it is highly effective and it’s comprised of
natural active ingredients. These include:
-
Bromelain – Derived from pineapples, Bromelain is a powerful digestive enzyme which is often used in anti-obesity medications. It triggers fat breakdown whilst
-
also having a powerful anti-inflammatory effect which reduces swelling and puffiness.
-
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) – Riboflavin plays an essential role in turning carbohydrates, proteins and fats into energy in the body. The body can’t store much of this water-soluble vitamin, but it is crucial for fat metabolism and oxidation.
-
Lecithin – A naturally derived fatty substance which attracts both water and fats – reducing cholesterol and maintaining healthy arteries, veins and blood vessels.
During treatment, Lemon Bottle’s advanced solution is injected into the fatty deposit area.
It then gets to work under the skin, breaking down the stubborn fat wall before breaking down each fat cell, turning the fat into fatty acid. This is then taken care of by the body’s natural waste removal processes and will be flushed out of the body every time you urinate.
This is why water intake needs to be at least two litres a day after treatment to help flush the fatty acid out quicker.
How much does Lemon Bottle Fat Dissolving cost?
The costs of Lemon Bottle treatment are relatively low compared with other alternative therapies, making it an attractive solution especially if multiple areas are required. As only one treatment is needed in most cases this further reduces the overall cost.
Can you really see results in less than 24 hours?
Yes! One of the reasons Lemon Bottle is gaining cult status is its rapid results. This
makes it a perfect choice before an event or special occasion.
Is one treatment enough?
In most cases, one treatment is enough and you’ll see significant results after one
session. Some clients do opt to have follow-up treatments to achieve their desired
result. How many sessions are needed will depend on your individual goals and
preferences.
Are the results permanent?
Yes – but how long the results last does depend on you maintaining a healthy diet
and active lifestyle post-treatment to prevent stubborn areas of fat from reforming
and returning. Lemon Bottle treatment permanently dissolves and destroys fat cells
– but it can’t stop new fat cells forming if you are not eating well and exercising regularly.
